After about a month without posting my favorites, this is the twentieth installment in my weekly series, called the Friday Five. In this series, I’ll tell you about five random things that I love, whether they be books, travel, music, movies…or whatever. So without further ado, 12-2-2016’s Friday Five!
–These awesome scuba sneakers! I really want these Converse sneakers with scuba divers on the side. I just haven’t pulled the trigger on ordering them yet. I’m a size 10 women’s if someone wanted to order them for me…JK! 😉
–Syria’s tourism marketing. Okay, so I don’t love Syria’s tourism marketing, but I kind of love to hate on it. Considering all of the horrible things happening in that country, just gross.
–Anne Rice. Atlas Obscura posted this interview with Anne Rice. It’s really interesting.
–Modern Mrs. Darcy’s Stocking Stuffer List for Book Lovers. I love pretty much everything on this list, and would be ecstatic if any of it showed up in my stocking. Maybe you can find something for the book lover in your life on this list.
–The National Music Museum. I went to school at The University of South Dakota, and spent my fair share of time wandering through the exhibits and drooling over the amazing instruments (I’m also a cellist for those that don’t know). After visiting music museums in other places (including the Smithsonian and in Paris), I have to say that this collection truly is world-class. If you ever get the chance to stop, I’d definitely encourage you to do so. The Amati “King” cello is probably the most beautiful instrument I’ve ever seen in my life.
