This is the second installment in my new weekly series, called the Friday Five. In this series, I’ll tell you about five things that I love, whether they be books, travel, music, movies…or whatever. So without further ado, 4-8-2016’s Friday Five!
–Go Forth Podcast. This is put on by two gals from the town that I live in. Heather and Becky are sweet, God-fearing women, who felt God’s inspiration to start a podcast ministry. I’ve listened to several of the episodes (I think Becky’s Story, Episode #18, is my favorite so far!). I recommend checking them out, even if you’re not Catholic (I’m not).
–Amazon Fire TV Stick with Voice Remote. Mike and I cancelled our cable about 3 months ago, and haven’t regretted it since. The Amazon Fire TV Stick is probably why. It has apps for Netflix, Hulu, Sling, Amazon Video, as well as all kinds of others that I haven’t really explored. We’ve saved a ton of money by “cutting the cable” and haven’t missed out on any of our favorite shows.
–The ‘Rocket Girls.’ I read this fascinating story on NPR about the ladies that were essentially central to the creation of the Jet Propulsion Laboratories. So incredible!
–Pink Pangea’s Writing Workshops. I attended an online writing workshop yesterday hosted by Jaclyn from Pink Pangea. It gave some great inspiration for how to become a better writer through the exercises that we went through. And it was FREE! Such an incredible benefit for those who like to write and want to do a better job.
–Lost Boy by Ruth B. Gosh, I just love this song! I can picture everything that Ruth B sings about. It’s poignant and beautiful, joyful and just a bit melancholy. Definitely in my playlist lately.
