When I travel, I always find time to get a bit of reading time in. Car trips, flights, and relaxing by a pool or on a beach afford ample time to read fantastic books. This is What I Read while traveling to Orlando, Florida.
While on my trip to Universal Orlando, I read two books, The Art of Racing in the Rain by Garth Stein, and Guests of the Ayatollah by Mark Bowden.
Books Finished:
The Art of Racing in the Rain by Garth Stein
The Art of Racing in the Rain is a wonderful little book and a quick read. The story is told from the perspective of Enzo, a family dog and philosopher. The book is a definite tear-jerker and worth a read. I loved it!
Guests of the Ayatollah by Mark Bowden
Guests of the Ayatollah: The Iran Hostage Crisis: The First Battle in America’s War with Militant Islam is written about the Iranian hostage crisis. It is told from the perspectives of the hostages, the hostage takers, family members of the hostages, and the Carter administration. It is quite well-researched, but reads like a fast-paced novel. I personally really enjoy nonfiction that is engaging and easy to follow. This book is exactly that.
