In 2017, I set a few goals and then posted monthly with my progress on them for some public accountability. I had success with some of the goals, but had others where I didn’t do as well. I’m setting some 2018 goals as well, but am going to organize things a little differently to make them easier to track. And I’m hopeful that I’ll have even more success with my 2018 goals!
Faith Goals:
Attend church at least one time per month.
Read at least two chapters of the Bible per month.
Read at least one devotional per month.
Attend Bible Study weekly.
Reading Goals:
Read at least one fiction, one nonfiction, and one devotional per month.
Track my reading on the blog.
Utilize Overdrive, Kindle Owners Lending Library, Prime Reading, and books previously purchased to keep costs down.
Complete PopSugar 2018 Reading Challenge.
Apply to What Should I Read Next? podcast again.
Finances:
Pay off at least half of my Acadia.
Pay off law office line of credit.
Double personal, law office, and LLC reserve funds.
Continue charitable giving at present levels.
Keep meal costs in check by eating at home and packing lunches.
Fitness/Health:
Drink 8 servings of water per day.
Drink no more than two pops per day.
Eat at least one fruit or vegetable per day.
Track food consumption with either MyFitnessPal or Weight Watchers.
Pack lunch or eat at home each weekday, unless eating out with friends/colleagues.
Plan lunches for the week on the weekends.
Cook and eat dinner at home five times per week.
Use FitBit for sleep and step monitoring.
Walk at least 8,000 steps per day, five days per week.
Peloton three times per week for 30 minutes.
Law Practice:
Pay off law office line of credit.
Double reserve funds.
Research law office marketing.
Revamp website.
Develop and implement marketing and social media plan.
Write blog post once per month.
Hire associate or advertise office share availability.
Blogging:
Post at least once per week.
Post travel post at least once per month.
Post goal update monthly.
Post reading list monthly.
Develop and implement marketing and social media plan.
Take additional Travel Blog Success (or replacement) course.
Find/watch Lightroom tutorial series.
Utilize travel journal while travelling.
Update old posts with pinnable images.
Increase photo size in old posts.
Travel:
Take at least one trip or local adventure per month.
