This is the forty-fourth installment in my sorta weekly series, called the Friday Five. In this series, I’ll tell you about five random things that I love, whether they be books, travel, music, movies…or whatever. So without further ado, 5-1-2020’s Friday Five!
–Palimony podcast. Two of my attorney friends in the area just started a podcast. I listened to the first episode this week and literally laughed out loud several times. Funny and random thoughts on life, and I look forward to future episodes.
–WW. I’ve been doing Weight Watchers for about a year now. I’m down 18 pounds, which isn’t a huge amount, but this is probably the longest period of time not gaining weight, and working to lose more, so I’m happy with that. The program and app are really helpful. I attend the workshops (currently via zoom), and find them to be helpful too. Just something that’s working really well for me at the moment. If you’re also interested in joining, let me know and I can send you an invite. If I invite you, we each get a free month.
–Lacero. This is fan fiction for Ready Player One by Ernest Cline. The fan fiction was written by Andy Weir (who also wrote The Martian and Artemis). Ernest Cline decided that he liked the short story enough, that he made it Canon for the Ready Player One world. Very well written and super enjoyable.
–Peloton. Since we’re all social distancing, I’m appreciating my Peloton even more. Being able to work out anytime I want and at home has been a lifesaver. Seriously, I think that my Peloton is worth. every. penny. Right now Peloton Digital is free for 30 days. It includes all of the content (cycling, running, walking, strength, stretching, yoga, meditation, dance, family classes). And if you’re interested in purchasing the bike or the tread, use my referral code (WH9XBC) and we both get $100 credit in the boutique.
–Tiger King Memes. Like nearly everyone else, I watched The Tiger King during my quarantine and isolation at home. A friend clued me into groups on facebook who post Tiger King memes. I’ve really been enjoying these lately. So funny and so stupid.
