In 2018, I read quite a lot of books, and was curious to look back at exactly how many, and in what categories. Here is my 2018 reading wrap-up.
143 books finished.
Of those, 48 were nonfiction, 83 were fiction, and 12 were devotional/spiritual.
8 book abandoned.
I’m happy with those stats. I’ll be curious to see if I read more or less in 2019. I’m hoping to hit 150, but want to enjoy what I’m reading, and not just read to hit particular numbers.
How many books did you read in 2018? Were you happy with what you read?

I track my books and reading goals with the Goodreads Reading Challenge each year. I’ve been using this method since 2011! I’m impressed with how many books you’ve read in 2018! I logged 40 out of 50 on my Challenge this year, the first year I haven’t met my goal. I’m with you, I want to enjoy what I’m reading, and not just read to hit particular numbers. For some reason this year, I read a lot of LONG books! I also think I need to remind myself that I don’t HAVE to finish a book if I don’t like it. I struggle with that and hope to work on this year, maybe I can get more books read that I enjoy that way!
